The pressure of cold-rolled steel supply in China still maintained high in the peak month of April, and the consumption of steel was continuing.
In April, China’s apparent steel demand for cold-rolled steel hiked and then decreased, and the output also reached its peak. Entering May, the demand decreased with limited flexibility, but the supply maintained high with big flexibility. Therefore, the price trend will depend on the change in the supply side.
This year, China planned to keep its crude steel output flat. Therefore, if there are no emergencies in the future, the steel mills in China will still cut their production in the short term.
