IREPAS: Long product market becomes worse while dropping scrap price causes confusion

According to the International Rebar Producers and Exporters Association (IREPAS), prices of long products currently go up drastically. Meanwhile, the high energy price continues to affect the European manufacturing industry, and the inflation that obstructs regular consumption undoubtedly worsens the situation of the long product market.
However, it is hard to understand why the market remains quiet and cold during the latest weeks and what's the reason that causes the fierce dropping in the scrap price.
The association concluded that due to trade measures, the competition in the global long product market is still quite regional. At the same time, Russia's exports keep providing interference with the price.
