US decides to impose AD & AD duties on aluminum foil from 5 countries

On September 17, the US Department of Commerce (USDOC) announced that it has decided to impose final anti-dumping (AD) duties on aluminum foil imported from Armenia, Brazil, Oman, Russia, and Turkey, as well as countervailing duties (CVD) on Oman and Turkey.
The dumping margin for Armenia was set at 29.11%, that for Brazil was at 13.93%-63.05%, and that for Oman was 3.89%. Russia received 62.18%, and Turkey was assigned a dumping rate of 2.28%.
As for CVD, the subsidy rate for Oman was set at 1.93%, and Turkey will be subject to 2.60%.
The products involved are aluminum foil with a thickness of 0.2 mm or less, in reels with a weight of more than 25 pounds, regardless of width, not backed, classified under subheading 7607.11.3000, 7607.11.6000, 7607.11.6010, 7607.11.6090, 7607.11.9030, 7607.11.9060, 7607.11.9090, and 7607.19.6000 of the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS).
The US International Trade Commission (USITC) will make a final determination on whether the imports of subject goods from the above-mention five countries caused substantial injury to the domestic aluminum foil industry on October 31, 2021.
