Australia postpones final decision on steel bolts from China
The Australian Anti-Dumping Commission has announced a new timetable for its investigation into certain laminated steel bolts imported from China. It is expected that the "Statement of Basic Facts" (SEF) will be submitted by February 18, 2026, and the final recommendation to be submitted to the Minister of Industry and Science must be completed by April 8, 2026.
The initial investigation was launched on December 19, 2024, based on the applications submitted by DSI Underground Australia Limited and Jamir Australia Limited. On December 23, 2025, a preliminary affirmative ruling was issued, determining the dumping margin to be 7.2% to 35.2%. At that time, there was not enough evidence to make a preliminary ruling on the alleged subsidy behavior of the involved goods.
The investigation covers the products corresponding to the following commodity codes: 7304.51.00.30, 7308.40.00.05, 7318.15.00.56, 7318.15.00.65, 7318.24.00.22, 7318.19.00.03, and 7318.19.00.19.
